AGM Mailing List!

Hi, girls!
We're sorry we haven't been very active lately. Chloe has been doing Camp NaNoWriMo, which is a program that allows you to write a novel in a month, so all of her free time has been spent writing her next novel.

We have decided to have a mailing list. Every week, we will send out one big email announcing news, submissions, and maybe a fun activity or photo, too! Anyone can sign up to get this updates email- just email us if you'r'e interested! Our email can be found on the Contact page.

Besides from this, we still need lots more submissions. Our first ever bimonthly issue, July/August 2013, has hardly any submissions! Thanks to the girls who have submitted. We hope to make AGM a paper magazine one day, but we can't do that if there aren't any submissions! The theme is Friends Fur-ever, but you can submit non-themed stories, artwork, articles, photos, and crafts, too. Almost everything that you submit will be used, though not necessarily in this issue.

Nominate Your Favorites!

Hey, girls!
For our July/August issue of AGM, we've decided to have an entertainment central! We'll have top-10 lists of girls' favorite books, movies, music, and TV shows. Anyone can nominate them, just make sure they're age-appropriate for girls around 8-12. Email us with the form below with your top 3 for each category to nominate your favorites! The top ten most popular ones will be in AGM.

Color-in Posters!

Guess what? Each issue of AGM is now going to have a poster for you to print out and color! You can submit your own black-and-white artwork or photos to AGM. Please make sure they are your work! Add your name, age, and state/province/country below your submission so we can credit you. If we don't get any submissions, staff and/or GIC members will do the job. :)

We will be having a Fun For Girls week shortly, so if you have any games or crafts you want to share with the Animal Girls, now is a great time!

Submission Shout-Out for July/August 2013!

Hey, girls! Sorry we haven't posted for a while, we've been busy, busy, busy! This is just a quick notice of what we need for our July/August 2013 issue, which, by the way, will be our first bimonthly issue! We also will mention a few things for our issue after that, September/October 2013, just to get you in a submission mood. And thanks for all of the great work that has been submitted so far!

Submissions needed for "Friends Fur-ever"(July/Aug 2013)

• Articles, both short and long. It doesn't matter if it's related to the theme of not.
• Illustrations and photos to go inside the magazine.
• Short stories and/or poems
• Letters to Ask-a-Pet
• Crafts, maybe ones you can do with friends.
• Book or Movie Reviews
• Quizzes
• Girl's World submissions
• Anything else you want to share with Animal Girls everywhere!

Also, our Sept/Oct issue's theme hasn't been decided yet! Comment below with any themes you'd like to see and we'll try to make them happen. Thanks, girls!

Girl Chat and Submissions Shout-out

 Since we didn't have any GC submissions last issue, we thought we'd put the new GC for the Summer 2013 "Friends Fur-ever" issue right out in the open so anyone can join in the conversation! The topic is..."What Kind of Activities do you like to do with Friends?" Share your opinion and comment on other people's opinions!

  Thanks to Fiona for our AWESOME cover picture submission! Speaking of submissions, it's a great idea to submit things ASAP...otherwise it takes ages for AGM to come out.

Girls Involved Club

Hey girls,
We've had lots of emails from girls saying they want to be on the staff...and have felt sorry to have to disappoint them with a "no". This is why we've decided to start a board for girls who want to be involved...we call it Girls Involved Club!

The Girls Involved Club will help out with AGM. Every issue, one or two GIC members will help lay out and fill up the pages of AGM, review books, invent crafts for AGM, write articles, and illustrate! Anyone can join, as long as they are/were subscribed to AGM. Being on the GIC gives you some privileges normal subscribers don't have, but not as many as being on the actual staff.

Being in the club requires time. Talk to your parents before you apply to make sure it works for them as well as for you!

Each GIC member gets a full year to be on the GIC, unless she renews her membership. Since this is a new installment, it won't be the most organized at first. But we guarantee it'll be fun!
